Actions can be taken with Saved Searches in the form of Alerts. You may set up alerts for Percentage of an increase in mentions or to alert you when new mentions are found.

You can create as many email alerts and add as many recipients as you would like to an email alert. There are no limitations. In the alert email itself though, there will be up to 10 mentions included.

Real Time Alerts:

Real-time Alerts notify you about potential threats or increasing trends. Creating new alerts can be done within the Alerts page or within the Dashboard view.

Creating Alerts for When There is an Increase in Volume:

These alerts are based upon the daily average of mentions for the last 7 days of the dataset. Updates are applied in near real-time (every 5 minutes) by scanning the data from your search results over the previous 7 days. You determine which threshold you would like applied to determine when you receive alerts.

Click on CSL from the left of the screen.

Select Saved Searches to see all of the searches made by your organization.

Select the Saved Search for which you would like to receive email alerts.

Click on the Create Alert button.

Enter in the Alert name, which will be used as the Subject line in the email and as the name of the alert within Cision Social Listening to easily find it later.

Check the box for Alert me about increases in volume.

Select the percentage of increase in volume for when you would like to receive the alert.

Click on the Question Mark Icons to see tooltips explaining different features.

Select the number of mentions you would like included in the alert. NOTE: You can select 5-50 mentions per alert.

Type in Email Addresses for the recipients of this alert and separate email addresses with a comma or space.

Add, Edit or Clear the filters you would like applied to or removed from this alert. NOTE: Hover over the filter to display a pop up window showing the filter details.

Click on the Save button.

Recipients will receive an email to confirm that they would like to receive the alert. After confirming, they will see up to the number of mentions selected in Step 9 in each email alert. For example, if 25 mentions are selected, there be up to 25 mentions in each email alert.
