Q: Why are we making these changes to Instant Insights?
A: The new Instant Insights makes it easier than ever to centralize your
media data in a single, shareable dashboard. You get a clearer, more
complete view of performance, customizable insights, and better ways to
track results and keep stakeholders aligned.
Q: Will my existing dashboards be affected by these changes?
A: Your dashboards will automatically switch over to the new look and feel.
Everything will continue to work as before, with no disruption to your
existing setup.
Q: How does the new detailed chart view improve the user experience?
A: You can now apply advanced, granular filters to focus on the exact
coverage you want to analyze. Plus, you can click into any chart to see the
underlying coverage behind each data point, giving you deeper insights
than before.
Q: Can I still use my saved filters and settings after the update?
A: Yes, all your saved filters and dashboard settings will remain in the new
look dashboards.
Q: How does the re-design support social stream compatibility?
A: The new dashboards bring together traditional media monitoring and
social listening data. You can overlay the two data sets or view them
separately with dedicated charting options, giving you a complete view of
media performance in one place.
Q: How do i change the layout of my charts?
A: Open the right-hand sidebar (Re-order) to drag-and-drop charts just as
you did previously. Just remember to hit save!
Q: Can I resize charts and widgets in the new design?
A: Charts automatically expand to double-width when the selected date
range exceeds 90 days, giving you more space for longer time periods.
We’re planning future updates to give you even more flexibility with
resizing.
Q: What filtering options are available at a dashboard and chart level?
A: The redesigned dashboards let you filter at both the dashboard and
chart level by keywords, sources, content types, metrics, and more —
making it easier to focus on the data that matters most.
Q: Will I be warned if I try to leave a dashboard without saving?
A: Yes — a save prompt will appear if you try to leave without saving your
changes, helping prevent accidental loss of work.
Q: What will happen to the existing Social Analyse dashboards?
A: All current Social Analyse dashboards will be moved to the new Instant
Insights module. This change streamlines dashboard management and
makes it easier and more efficient to access and work with your data going
forward.
Q. Will my shared dashboard update with live data as new coverage is
captured in my Mention Streams?
A: Yes — each time the dashboard is accessed, it automatically pulls in the
latest data for the selected date range.
Q: What content will be viewable when a dashboard is shared publicly?
A: All charts in the shared dashboard will be viewable and interactive,
allowing users to see the underlying meta data for the coverage behind
each chart. Access to certain content is subject to regional licensing rules
— contact your account manager for details.
Q: Will Analyse be retired immediately at launch, or will there be a
transition period?
A: Yes — Social Analyse and the old Instant Insights will be retired on
launch day, with all dashboards moved into the new Instant Insights.
