How to Create, Edit, Delete, and Export Distribution Lists

If you're a Super User, you have the ability to create, edit, and delete distribution lists for use by your organization. If you do not see this functionality in your account and would like to be able to create Distribution Lists, please reach out to your account manager.

Accessing Distribution Lists

To view and manage your distribution lists:

  • Click on your initials in the top left-hand corner of the CisionOne platform

  • A drop-down menu will appear, click on Organization.

  • Once you've clicked on Organization, navigate to the Distribution Lists tab in the menu at the top of the screen.

View and Edit Distribution Lists

You can view all existing distribution lists or use the filter recipients search bar to check if an email address already exists as part of a distribution list.

If you'd like to edit an existing distribution list, click on the ellipsis button. This will enable you to edit or delete the distribution list.

Managing, Editing, Exporting Distribution Lists

Once you click the pencil icon, the screen to manage, edit, and export from distribution lists will appear.

  • To check recipients: Type the email address into the filter recipients' field.

  • To add recipients: Type a new email address and click enter or save.

  • To remove recipients: Click on the cross button next to the email address you would like to remove and click Save.

  • To rename the distribution list: Click into the Name field, type in the new distribution list name, and click Save.

  • Export Recipients to CSV button. This will download the recipient list as a. CSV file which can be opened in Microsoft Excel or other number processing tools.

  • All distribution lists are available for other super users in your organization to view unless you switch on the Restricted button. The Restricted button will hide the distribution list from other individuals in your organization.
