How can I save and reuse contact searches in Outreach?

When you search for media contacts in Outreach, you can save your search criteria for future use. Saved searches help you quickly return to frequently used filters, advanced search settings, and keywords without recreating them each time.

What are the benefits of saved searches?

Saved searches help you:

  • Retain carefully configured filters, advanced search parameters, and search keywords.

  • Reuse frequently performed searches without rebuilding them.

  • Quickly access your most recently used searches.

  • Find saved searches faster using the search function.

  • Keep search results current while preserving the search criteria.


How do I save a search?

To save a search in Outreach:

  1. Create your contact search and apply the required filters, keywords, and advanced search criteria.

  2. Click Save at the top of the page.

  3. Enter a name for your search in the pop-up window.

  4. Click Save to confirm.

After saving, the search name appears at the top of the page, indicating that the search has been saved successfully.

Note: Only the search criteria are saved. The contact results themselves are not saved. This ensures that your results remain up to date as contact information is maintained and updated.


How do I open a saved search?

You can open a saved search in two ways.

Option 1: Open from the left navigation panel

  • Locate the Search section in the left navigation panel.

  • The top five searches are displayed in the panel.

  • Select the saved search name.

  • The saved search opens.

If you have more than five saved searches:

  • Click See More under the Search section.

  • Review the complete list of saved searches.

  • Select the search that you want to open.

You can also type the search name in the Search Saved Searches field.

Note: Lists too work the same way. You can view recently used lists, access the five most recent lists from the left navigation panel, select See More to view more lists, or type a list name in the Search Lists field.

Option 2: Open from the New Search menu

  • Click the dropdown arrow beside New Search.

  • Select a saved search from the list.

  • The saved search opens and displays the saved search criteria.


How can I access my recent searches quickly?

  • The left navigation panel includes a collapsible Search section.

  • The five most recently used or updated searches are displayed automatically for quick access. Selecting any search opens it immediately.

  • If you have more than five saved searches, click See More to view the complete list.


How do I rename a saved search?

To rename a saved search:

  1. Open the pop-up containing all saved searches.

  2. Click the Pencil icon next to the search name.

  3. Enter the new name.

  4. Save your changes.

The saved search name updates throughout Outreach.


How do I delete a saved search?

To delete a saved search:

  1. Open the Saved Searches pop-up window.

  2. Locate the search you want to remove.

  3. Select the Delete icon.

  4. Confirm the deletion.

The search is permanently removed from your saved searches list.


How do I update a saved search?

You can update a saved search when you need to change its filters, keywords, or advanced search criteria.

  1. Open an existing saved search.

  2. Select Advanced Search to modify the filters or keywords.

  3. Select Apply Search.

  4. Review the updated search results.

  5. Click Save when the button reappears at the top of the page.

  6. The saved search is updated with the latest search criteria.


How do I create a new saved search?

To create a new search:

  1. Select New Search.

  2. The filters in the right-side panel reset.

  3. Apply the required filters, keywords, and advanced search criteria.

  4. Select Save at the top of the page.

  5. In the pop-up window, enter the Search Name and select Save.

What is saved when I save a search?

When you save a search, Outreach stores the filters, advanced search terms, and quick search terms associated with that search. The actual contact results are not saved, ensuring that results remain current as contact data is updated.

How are saved searches scoped?

Saved searches are scoped to both the individual user and the team workspace.

Can I share my saved searches?

No. Saved searches cannot be shared. Only the user who created a saved search can view and access it.
