Areas when you might want to create a Private Contact:
An Influencer/Outlet already appears in the database, however you have access to a private email address or phone number that might not be available to the public
An Influencer/Outlet that is highly specific and doesn't appear on the public database
Viewing Private Contacts
You can access any existing Private Contacts by clicking on the "Private Contacts" tab which appears next to the "My Lists" tab on the Lists Page. TIP: Private contacts will always be indicated with a lock icon 🔒 to distinguish from normal contacts.
Searching Private Contacts
Use the 'search private contacts' field to search private contacts by name or use the page selector to jump between different pages if you have many private contacts set up.
Private Contacts Actions
You can use any of the following actions with a Private Contact by clicking on the action button:
Add to an existing list or create a new list
Copy/export emails
Bulk Export as CSV
Delete Contact
Send Media Releases
Creating a Private Contact
You can create Private contacts via manual entry or bulk upload by clicking Outreach, then Lists, then choosing ‘Private Contacts’ tab the "Add private contacts" or “Import Private Contacts” buttons . N.B. Private contacts are visible to all users in your organisation, however will not be visible to other users, or in the broader database. Remember: Private contacts will always be indicated with a lock icon 🔒 to distinguish these from normal contacts.
Please note - When adding an email address for a private contact, you will need to ensure the email address valid. CisionOne will not send emails to invalid email addresses. If you see the messages in the images on the right, please check and edit the email address.

At a minimum you must add:
First Name
Last Name
Email Address - the email address must be a valid one
You can also add:
Salutation
Job Title
Language
Phone Number
X Profile
LinkedIn Profile
Address Line 1
Address Line 2
