Instant Insights updates
Outreach Activity Timeline Chart
The Outreach Activity Timeline chart is now available in Instant Insights, allowing you to analyse Outreach activity trends over time directly within your dashboards.
Previously only available within Outreach, this chart can now be used in Instant Insights alongside other visualisations.
With this update you can:
Analyse outreach activity over time — view activity trends directly within Instant Insights dashboards.
Switch between chart types — choose different visualisations to suit your reporting needs.
Connect Outreach activity to media coverage — view outreach activity alongside resulting media coverage in a single dashboard view.
"Add to List" from Journalist/Outlet Charts
A new “Add to List” action is now available within Instant Insights, allowing you to add journalists or outlets directly from supported charts into contact lists.
From any supported journalist or outlet chart, you can now select multiple contacts and add them to an existing list or create a new one, without leaving the dashboard.
With this update you can:
Add contacts directly from charts — select journalists or outlets from supported charts and add to a list in a single action.
Identify contacts faster — add multiple contacts at once without manual searching or switching context.
Connect media coverage to Outreach — instantly connect with the journalists and outlets driving relevant media coverage
Duplicate Chart Functionality
Charts can now be duplicated directly within Instant Insights dashboards, making it faster to build and customize dashboards without recreating charts from scratch.
Use the existing ellipses action menu on any chart to create a duplicate with the same configuration, including filters, metrics, date ranges, sorting, and notes.
Duplicated charts remain fully independent, so you can make edits without affecting the original.
Outreach updates
New Tier filter introduced
A new Tier filter is now available in Outreach, allowing you to filter journalists and outlets based on their level of influence within a given market.
Contacts are grouped into four tiers using Cision’s proprietary methodology, which considers the following factors:
Outlet editorial status — based on a curated list by our in-house media research team
Social media footprint — measured using engagement signals from social platforms
Outreach activity — based on engagement levels within the CisionOne Outreach tool
Tiers are calculated separately for each major market (US, UK, CAN, DACH, ANZ, Nordics).
