The Instagram Public & Owned Account Followers Benchmark chart in Instant Insights helps you compare the follower growth of your owned Instagram account with selected public Instagram accounts. This comparison can help you see how your follower growth compares with accounts you monitor, such as competitors.
For example, you can include your own Instagram account and public accounts belonging to competitors to compare how follower counts are tracking.
Note: You can add up to 12 Instagram accounts to the Instagram Public & Owned Account Followers Benchmark chart.
Adding the chart
To add the Instagram Public & Owned Account Followers Benchmark chart to your Instant Insights dashboard:
Create a new Instant Insights dashboard or open an existing dashboard for editing.
Select Add Chart.
In the Add New Chart panel, search for the chart title.
Select the chart to add it to your dashboard.
Details panel overview
To explore additional details and settings for the Instagram Public & Owned Account Followers Benchmark chart:
Select the ellipsis menu (⋮) on the chart, and then select Edit.
Use the tabs in the Details panel to configure the chart and select the Instagram accounts you want to include.
Using the Chart tab
Use the Chart tab to configure the time period for the follower comparison.
Under Select Date Range, choose a preset date range from the left panel or specify a custom range using the From and To fields.
Using the Social Accounts tab
Use the Social Accounts tab to select the owned and public Instagram accounts you want to include in the Instagram Public & Owned Account Followers Benchmark chart.
Under Instagram Public Accounts, open the account selector.
Select the accounts, and then select Confirm.
Under Instagram Owned Accounts, open the account selector.
Select the accounts, and then select Confirm.
Using the Labels tab
Use the Labels tab to customize the chart title and add an optional description.
In the Labels tab, you can include:
Title: Enter a custom chart title. To restore the original title, select Reset to default title.
Description: Add an optional description that explains the chart's purpose, highlights key findings, or provides additional context. To restore the default description, select Reset to default description.
Select Save to save the chart.
Note: Instagram Public Account Follower Growth tracks public Instagram accounts, while Instagram Public & Owned Account Followers Benchmark is specifically for comparing an owned integrated Instagram account with public Instagram accounts.
