About AI Visibility Dashboards and Creating a new AI Visibility Dashboard

Learn about AI Visibility Dashboards in Instant Insights and how to create a new AI Visibility dashboard to track your brand and competitors in AI-generated (LLM) responses.

Note:

  • AI Visibility Dashboards is available as a paid add-on to the CisionOne platform. For more information, please get in touch with your Customer Success Management (CSM) or Account Manager (AM).

  • AI Visibility monitoring runs on an answer allowance system. Each response collected when one of your prompts is sent to a selected AI model counts as one answer. For information about viewing usage, understanding allowance limits, and managing credits, see Monitoring AI Visibility Credit Usage.

AI assistants, which use large language models (LLMs), are becoming a primary way people discover and evaluate brands.

AI Visibility Dashboards, powered by Trajaan’s technology, connects AI visibility, traditional media monitoring, social listening, and media outreach together in the CisionOne platform, providing a unified view of brand reputation and influence for PR and Comms teams.

With AI Visibility Dashboards, you can:

  • Understand how visible your brand is within AI-generated responses;

  • Identify which prompts and topics your brand is appearing in within AI responses;

  • Benchmark your brand’s visibility in AI responses against your competitors’;

  • Measure sentiment, share of voice and track trends over time;

  • Ensure AI-generated media insights remain accurate, reliable and trustworthy over time;

  • Identify which journalists, outlets, and domains are referenced by AI and are shaping your brand narrative;

  • Report holistically across emerging and traditional channels;

  • Refine your media outreach strategy to focus on the voices that matter most.

It works by continuously querying leading AI models (LLMs) with prompts you define, then surfacing the results in ready-to-use dashboard templates and charts. The major AI models queried include OpenAI, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overview, Mistral, DeepSeek and Grok.

Creating a new AI Visibility Dashboard

The AI Visibility Dashboard helps you understand how your brand appears across leading AI platforms by tracking visibility, sentiment, share of voice, and cited sources. Use these insights to benchmark competitors and strengthen your brand's presence in AI-generated responses.

You can create a new AI Visibility Dashboard with the following steps:

  1. From Instant Insights>Dashboards, select New Dashboard.

    New Dashboard option in Instant Insights > Dashboards.

  2. Select Templates to choose a template to configure your dashboard.

    Templates tab used to select a dashboard template.

  3. Choose the AI Visibility template. This pre-built template includes all AI Visibility charts. Select Next.

  4. Set up your AI model data sources, prompts, and entities using the three-step wizard.

    AI Visibility setup wizard for configuring data sources, prompts, and entities.

    Step 1: Data Sources

    In the first step of the setup wizard, configure your data sources by selecting the following:

    Mention Stream – the mention stream to associate the monitoring with

    Date Range – the historical window for analysis

    AI Model – Choose up to three AI models to monitor (including OpenAI, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overview, Mistral, DeepSeek, Grok).

    Location – the geographic market(s) to target (include multiple countries, if needed)

    Warning:

    Selecting more prompts, AI models, or locations increases the number of answers used. Each response collected for one prompt counts as one answer. For example, the number of answers can be calculated as: number of prompts × number of models × number of locations. Selecting multiple models or locations may also increase the time required to generate results.

Select Next to proceed. If needed, select Previous to return to the previous screen, or Cancel to move to the New Dashboard creation screen.

Step 2: Prompt Generation

In this step, describe what you want to monitor. Enter a brief description of your brand or topic (e.g. "Coca-Cola vs Pepsi comparison") and select Suggest.

The AI auto-generates up to 200 relevant prompts that simulate real user queries across categories such as:

  • Discovery – "best tools for X"

  • Comparison – "X vs Y"

  • Consideration – "is X good?"

A counter to the right of Generated Prompts shows how many prompts are currently selected, up to the displayed prompt limit. Answer usage is calculated separately when those prompts are run against the selected AI models and locations. You can review, edit, add, or remove generated prompts by selecting the Add/Edit prompt button.

After editing, select Confirm to save your changes.

Select Create Project to submit your prompts and proceed to the next step, where data generation for the AI Visibility dashboard begins.

Step 3: Entities (optional)

After submitting your prompts, your selected AI Models (LLMs) are queried and the responses are analyzed. Once the dashboard is saved, data generation begins automatically.

As this process may take some time, a loading screen will appear while it runs.

You can either wait for the analysis to complete on the loading screen or exit the screen and continue working on other tasks:
